About the role
We are currently seeking a Senior HR  Business Partner  to join our highly driven team working under the guidance of our Head of People.
You   will be responsible for providing excellent quality advice to stakeholders, internal staff and on hire employees.   You will manage employee relations issues and ensure compliance with Australian employment laws and regulations with a strong understanding of the Fair Work Act 2009, modern awards and enterprise agreements.

This role will involve working closely with management and employees to address workplace concerns, mediate disputes, and implement policies that promote a positive work culture.
  • Offering generalist workplace HR support services to internal staff.
  • Establish strong relationships with business leaders and managers to understand their needs and challenges.
  • Manage and support a variety of ER cases, including disciplinary actions, grievances, and performance management issues, from initiation to resolution.
  • Conduct thorough and impartial investigations into employee complaints and incidents.
  • Support managers in handling performance management issues.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed case documentation, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Assisting in coaching and advising managers on HR matters, including grievances, formal complaint management and disciplinary matters, ensuring adherence to organisational policies and legislative requirements.
  • Responsible for implementing strategies with support from the Head of people and the broader HR team to support human resource planning, performance management, learning and development, career planning, recognition and rewards management and other key HR initiatives.
   What you will need
  • Tertiary qualified in Human Resource Management or similar field (highly desirable but not mandatory).
  • Previous experience (4+ years) in a HR/IR role.
  • Demonstrated experience in investigating and responding to incidents.
  • High-level knowledge of applicable legislation, industrial relations instruments, frameworks and best practice (or ability to quickly acquire the same).
  • Ability to interpret legislation, policies and other industrial instruments.
  • Strong judgement and decision-making skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
